Filming on the 27th of October

Filming on Tuesday 27th of October:

Today we filmed at Granary Square in Kings Cross, from 5-9 pm. We managed to get the amount of footage that we wanted however due to issues that we found when we arrived some scenes had to be altered.
The only problem we came across was the lighting issue. We initially wanted to film next to the water fountains, however the lighting was not good enough for LamieLDN and Boyfriend number 2 to be seen,so instead we decided to film the water fountains as just a small clip instead of a base track. We then found another aesthetically pleasing place right next to the fountains,where there was put in lights so LamieLDN and boyfriend number 2 was able to be seen. 

A side note for next time we film in a different location is to have speakers in place in order for LamieLDN as well as the camera are able to hear the music so she can lip sync along and we can easily edit afterwards.

Overall filming today was a success and I look forward to filming our next scenes and base tracks in our different chosen locations.

27. Final idea

Final Idea


Our song choice: Amy Winehouse - You know i'm no good














Artist: LamieLDN





















We have decided to give with the song choice of 'You know i'm no good' as we thought the voice of Amy Winehouse suited our artist's look. The costuming and makeup style was also inspired by the original music video. Throughout the scenes we were inspired by other music videos such as Rihanna - Love the way you lie which is a song that contains fire that we have wanted to put into our music video but on a small scale such as fire bin with burning photos. We also took features from Sam Smiths - I'm not the only one as it was strong illustration music video about cheating as well so we took aspects as using items as key props to tell some background story whereas ours will contain glass wine representing sadness and heartbroken drown herself in alcohol. We wanted our visuals itself explain a story without even audio but with audio it would make the understanding much more clearer through lyrics.

We hope to have many bases tracks throughout the music video to keep viewers interested while watching our music video. Our artist herself will be wearing quite casual clothing such as jeans and jacket to dress dependent on scene although we want our costume to change every scene. Key synergy items are the wing eye-liner, wine glass and will be seen across other promotional platforms.
The locations decided are Granary square, Monique's house, White wall as these area are aesthetically pleasing and also show relation on how the artist feels in certain area.

PITCH - Industry

Lamie LDN is signed to Amy Winehouses independent record label LIONESS RECORD LABELS. 



She is similar to other artists who are signed to this record label such as;
 Dionne Bromfield
Liam Bailey

These few of the artists that have joined this record label are similar in genre as our amy winehouse who is also the founder of the record label. We have decided this would be the best choice as it related to us because we're also a independent artist and would be a great starting point. 

It will allow us to have more creativity and freedom of choice to plan and how we would like our overall outcome of the music video to come out as the final piece.

32 . Technical run through PITCH - Green screen (mini) Monique Reynolds-Blanche


We have used a mini green screen which is the size of a photograph. Our idea is for the picture to turn into reality , (one of the base tracks). 


I done a test run of this so i know what do do when i am editing. I edited in ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS. When it comes to editing the real thing there is a mask tool which I will draw over LamieLDN's hand in order for it to appear that her hand is still holding the picture.





The idea of base tracks appearing within base tracks also happens in Amy Winehouse's original video for the song:

In our whole planning process you will see consistent features throughout our website and promotional content. Our colour scheme is based around two basic colours these are black and white the colours will be repeated a lot on many different media platforms to state.


Font


We will use mostly the same font throughout the promotional aspect of our work to keep the synergy between the media platforms to keep a ideal font that is used in our work so its unique. We decided to use 'Lucida Bright Medium' font.

Signature


The signature of the artist is used a lot as well in the promotional work this also creates a star image and makes the signature become more recognisable to the audience and the public eye.

Props/Object

The shattered wine glass is representation of one our main song 'Broken' which is also the album's name. There is a relation between the wine glass and our music video as one our scenes we're hoping that the prop will be a main object. As in the scene it will be falling down from the main artist dropping it which highlights a point in the music video.

On the road - This will be just LamieLdn singing on a road and burning pictures of past relationships.

We will use slow motion in the following scenes;

When she drops the glass. 


When the fire burns sometimes it will be in slow motion.


Aiming to incorporate it into most of the base tracks.

We will use discontinuous editing throughout the whole music video.

(26.) PITCH audience - Monique Reynolds-Blanche






Sadly the video cut out but Naomi said, she thinks the music video should still be relevant to now, it should be about the lyrics and the music! Not all about the artists and their body.





Naomi is a classic example of our CORE target audience for our music video. 

We will try and dress our artist in clothes that would appeal to audience members like Naomi and also take into consideration what she said about music videos being about the visual effect, the music and the lyrics.




To research into LAMIE LDN's target audience we looked into our original artists (Amy Winehouse's) view points.















Violet is a classic example of our WIDER target audience for our music video. 

We will try and take into consideration what she said about music videos being about empowering women.

KEN'S DIGIPAK IDEA'S


The idea behind my design for the digipak was keep that urban city soul vibe i done this by making sure i picked the correct font to match the artist i was trying to represent which was "LamieLDN" since we used wine glass often as a representation of synergy we decided to use in our album and poster to show the promotional crossover. The logo was made of two Ls in different orientations which stood for the name Lamie London.

23. Synergy

Synergy is the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations to produce a combined effect greater than their separate effects. This will increase sales and acts as a common link for consumers between each of the products. 
In order for my products to have a common link for consumers I will be including synergy within all of my products including the video. 


The first method of synergy will be the LAMIELDN logo:



 I would like to include this on the digi pack, advertisement and possibly the video.








The second method of synergy will be our Artists face:  



         

 Her face will definitley be in all of the products as it will familiarise the audience with her face. (Makeup and costume will be the same in all so that it is even easier to recognise her).     




Lastly i would like to include synergy with the broken glass:







This is because we know that in the video we would like to include smashed glass of some sort and this represents her danger. This would be really good imagery for adverts and digipaks.

19. Examine Website


Examine Website



We know who the website belongs to as you can see from her name in red but also her close-up picture. I didn't want to examine the original artist that we picked as i believe that she is deceased so it would be good to analyse a similar soul singer like her which i chose adele. I think adele's website is a modern and it up to date of how artist's website should be like. The first thing we see is the album cover allowing you to buy it through different online shopping venues and the album cover features her face which has lots or reputation as a artist.

We're then given the choice of entering the website or to join her as fan/member of the website this is to create more intimate relationship with her audience. Looking down further we can see there is a section for tour dates. In my opinion the site starts off really strong with the branding of the artist and sales.


As we enter the site we hit a announcement video this ready starts off really well creating adele's persona of a bubbly/nice person to the audience. It also feels more intimate yet again because it shows adele being herself and that she's not so different from others even if she's a big star. If we carry on scrolling down you get see conference shows, her album again and her single 'hello'.

The over all effect of the video for 'You know i'm no good' is that Amy is promiscuous and is not loyal to her boyfriend. We would like to use some of the ideas from the original video, however we would also like it to slightly differ.
